We’re recruiting an experienced Outsourcing Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Bromsgrove.
This is a varied client-facing role suited to an experienced practice accountant who enjoys delivering outsourced finance and business management services. You’ll manage a small portfolio of clients, overseeing bookkeeping, management reporting, VAT and statutory accounts while identifying opportunities to provide additional support and advice.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage a small portfolio of clients, ensuring bookkeeping, reporting and accounts work is delivered accurately and on time
* Prepare management accounts and financial reports
* Prepare and review VAT returns
* Oversee bookkeeping and support clients with their accounting requirements
* Work closely with Client Managers to understand client needs and identify areas requiring further advice
* Identify opportunities for additional services and liaise with specialist teams
* Support and review the work of junior team members
* Prepare billing proposals and support the commercial management of client work
* Assist with cashflow forecasting, tax management and budgetary control
* Support sales invoicing and credit control where required


About You

*3–5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
* ICAEW/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
* Strong technical accounting and outsourcing knowledge
* Experience with Xero and accounting software such as IRIS
* Strong experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns
* Experience reviewing bookkeeping and junior team members’ work
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Commercially aware with an understanding of billing, fees and profitability
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
