We’re recruiting an experienced Accounts Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Bromsgrove.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified accountant with at least two years’ practice experience. You’ll work across accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT and management information, while developing your client-facing skills and supporting junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
* Prepare consolidated accounts for small and medium-sized groups
* Prepare corporation tax returns
* Review straightforward VAT returns
* Prepare management accounts and financial information
* Liaise directly with clients and build strong working relationships
* Manage your own workload and daily work plans
* Support and develop less experienced team members
* Assist Managers with client assignments and ad-hoc projects
* Deal with external auditor queries
* Assist with valuations, due diligence and forensic accounting projects where required
About You
* Minimum 2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
*ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and commitment to continued development
* Experience with Xero is essential
* Knowledge of IRIS, Alpha, QuickBooks and Sage 50 would be advantageous
* Competent using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
* Strong communication and client relationship skills
* Excellent analytical and research abilities
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
* Keen to progress towards a Supervisor-level position
