Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are recruiting a Contracts Manager to join a respected social housing group in Suffolk, overseeing the delivery of planned refurbishment programmes across the housing stock. As a Contracts Manager, you will manage multiple workstreams with individual project values of up to £3m, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to join a supportive organisation and play a key role in delivering high-quality refurbishment works within occupied residential environments.

Contracts Manager key responsibilities include:*Managing the delivery of multiple planned refurbishment workstreams, with individual project values of up to £3m
*Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
*Leading, supporting, and developing site management, supervisory, and resident liaison teams
*Maintaining strong working relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders
*Attending progress meetings and undertaking site visits as required
*Overseeing monthly valuations, variations, cost reporting, and overall commercial performance
*Supporting the preparation of estimates, tenders, and forward programmes
*Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, statutory, and contractual requirements
*Maintaining accurate contract documentation, reporting, and governance processes
The successful Contracts Manager will have:*Previous experience in a similar role
*Extensive experience working as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager across a variety of projects valued up to £3m
*Experience in contract administration, planning, estimating, tender processes, health & safety, and staff management
*Experience delivering planned works within occupied environments
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
*The ability to work effectively to tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities
*Proficiency in Microsoft packages
*City & Guilds qualification in a construction trade
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
