Full job descriptionAre you passionate about supporting vulnerable people to achieve independence and maintain sustainable tenancies?
An established and respected charitable organisation is seeking a Supported Housing Officer to join their team in the Hatfield area on a temporary to permanent opportunity . This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of individuals facing housing challenges while building a long-term career within a supportive organisation.
The RoleYou will work directly with tenants within a supported housing environment, providing practical and emotional support to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to live independently.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing a caseload of tenants and delivering person-centred support
*Developing support plans, reviews and risk assessments
*Assisting residents with life skills, budgeting and tenancy sustainment
*Supporting tenants with benefit applications and maximising income
*Managing low-level anti-social behaviour and rent arrears cases
*Conducting property and estate inspections
*Providing advice on tenancy-related matters and housing issues
*Managing void properties, arranging viewings and completing sign-ups to minimise re-let times
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
*Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, ideally within supported housing, homelessness, or tenancy sustainment services
*Knowledge of housing management and tenancy support
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Good IT literacy and record-keeping skills
*An Enhanced DBS within the last 3 years, or willingness to obtain one
Working Pattern37.5 hours per week. Shifts will be a mixture of 8:00am to 4:00pm or 2:00pm to 10:00pm and weekend work will be required on a rota basis.
