We’re recruiting an experienced Accounts Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Bromsgrove.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with at least two years’ post-qualification experience who enjoys managing client relationships, reviewing accounts and tax work, and providing commercially focused financial advice.
You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, act as their main point of contact and work closely with Senior Managers and Directors to deliver a broad range of accounting, tax and advisory services.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their first point of contact
* Review company financial statements, sole trader accounts and corporation tax returns
* Prepare and review personal tax filings and advise clients on tax matters
* Draft technical advice with support from Senior Managers and Directors
* Liaise with clients regarding deadlines, information requirements and financial queries
* Assist with Accounts, Tax, VAT, Payroll and Company Secretarial deadlines
* Provide clients with advice on financial results and accounting matters
* Assist with implementing accounting software, systems and internal controls
* Build strong, long-term client relationships
* Maintain a strong understanding of financial statement disclosures and tax matters
* Support and develop Senior Associates and Supervisors
* Keep technical knowledge up to date and ensure work is delivered accurately and efficiently


About You

*ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
* Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience within accountancy practice
* Proven experience managing your own portfolio of clients
* Strong knowledge of accounts, corporation tax and personal tax
* Confident advising clients on financial and tax matters
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Good analytical and research abilities
* Experience using Xero is essential
* Knowledge of IRIS, Alpha, QuickBooks and Sage 50 would be advantageous
* Competent using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
* Self-motivated, commercially aware and able to work under pressure
* Confident supporting and motivating more junior team members
