Full job descriptionJob DescriptionWe are pleased to be working with one of our long standing clients in the North Manchester Area who are on the hunt for a Management accountant, they have a strong finance function already in the business, after a period of sustained growth they are looking for further invest in their team.
Management Accountant – Responsibilities:
*Prepare the monthly management accounts to strict deadlines, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Produce the monthly management pack, with commentary on performance and variances against budget and forecast.
*Support the annual budget and rolling forecast process, working with stakeholders across the business.
*Maintaining the fixed asset register, depreciation and monthly control account reconciliations.
*Consistently review and improve month-end processes, management reporting and financial controls.
*Reporting any discrepancies in margin and cost variances to the Finance Manager/Financial Controller.
*Involvement in year-end audit and stat accounts, preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
Management Accountant – Person Spec:
*Self motivated and comfortable maintaining independent working.
*Excellent attention to detail, with an excellent standard of accuracy.
*Qualified, Part-Qualified or QBE
*Excellent communication skills, relaying important financial information to non financial stakeholders
*Inquisitive – Strive to see the data behind the numbers, check why variances exist and addressing the root cause.
