We’re recruiting an experienced VAT Senior Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Bristol.
This is a senior opportunity for a VAT specialist with strong technical expertise and commercial awareness. You’ll advise a varied client portfolio on complex indirect tax matters, develop client relationships, generate new business and play a key role in the continued growth of the VAT team.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead the delivery of VAT and indirect tax advisory services
* Advise clients on complex VAT transactions and technical issues
* Provide specialist advice on land and property, partial exemption and international VAT
* Advise charities and not-for-profit organisations on VAT matters
* Act as a senior point of contact for clients, Partners and colleagues
* Build and develop strong client relationships
* Manage and grow your own VAT portfolio
* Identify new business opportunities through networking and referrals
* Support and develop junior VAT professionals
* Work collaboratively with wider Tax and Advisory teams
* Keep up to date with VAT legislation, HMRC guidance and industry developments
* Contribute to the strategic development and growth of the VAT practice


About You

* Significant experience in VAT and indirect taxation
* Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of VAT matters
* Previous experience within an accountancy or professional services environment
* Experience advising on property, partial exemption, international VAT and complex transactions
* Strong client relationship and advisory skills
* Commercially minded with proven business development and networking ability
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Leadership and mentoring experience
* Self-motivated, proactive and commercially focused
