We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a growing FMCG/food manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically focused engineer who enjoys hands-on maintenance, fault-finding and keeping production equipment running efficiently.
With a minimum 70/30 mechanical bias, you’ll play a key role within a team of six engineers, with excellent opportunities for training, development and progression into more senior positions.
The RoleAs a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a range of production and site equipment, including:
*Conveyors and associated systems
*Generators
*Gearboxes
*Sprockets, chains and belts
*Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
*Welding and fabrication - highly desirable
*Preventative and reactive maintenance
*Supporting the smooth running of production equipment
About YouWe’re looking for someone with:
*NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum
*Strong mechanical maintenance experience
*A minimum 70/30 mechanical/electrical skillset
*Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar production environment
*Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
*Experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, belts, chains and sprockets
*Welding and fabrication skills would be an advantage
*A proactive approach and strong commitment to engineering standards
