We’re recruiting an experienced Audit Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with strong audit experience to take ownership of a varied portfolio, lead complex assignments and develop key client relationships. You’ll also play a central role in mentoring the wider audit team and supporting the continued growth of the practice.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Lead complex audits across a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients
* Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, resolving queries and providing commercial insight
* Review audit files and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
* Supervise, mentor and develop Audit Seniors, Semi-Seniors and trainees
* Manage budgets, workflow and deadlines to ensure efficient delivery
* Support Partners with technical matters and client development
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service
* Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the audit team


About You

*ACA or ACCA qualified
* Proven experience managing audits within an accountancy practice
* Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
* Excellent client management and relationship-building skills
* Experience leading and developing audit teams
* Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Confident working with Partners, clients and colleagues at all levels
* Proactive, ambitious and committed to delivering high-quality work
