We are recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join their busy and growing manufacturing organisation in Rotherham. This role is ideal for someone who is skilled, reliable, and has a strong commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Perform MIG welding on a range of materials including carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium, and other metals.
*Weld a variety of joint configurations in multiple positions to a high standard.
*Set and adjust welding equipment to ensure optimum weld quality and compliance with welding procedures and specifications.
*Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical instructions.
*Meet production schedules while maintaining strict quality standards.
*Follow all welding procedures and quality requirements to ensure a "right first time" approach.
*Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
*Ensure correct identification, marking, and labelling of components.
*Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
*Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum 2 years’ hands-on MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environment.
*Proven experience welding carbon steel and other metals to a high standard.
*Experience working from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
*Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and quality standards.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
*Understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
*Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
*Strong communication skills and ability to follow documented procedures.
