Full job descriptionPurpose of Job: Videographer
To be responsible for delivering high quality video productions for internal and external clients to maximise income potential for the council, ensuring clients briefs are delivered on schedule and on budget and that the councils key cabinet priorities are met. To provide an income stream for the Council from high quality video production and to pitch for business opportunities to support this.
Main Duties: Videographer
1)Responsible for filming and editing video productions suitable for a range of internal and external clients responding to briefs accordingly
2)To pitch to internal and external clients to secure projects that will maximise income potential for the Council and income targets are met
3)To effectively manage video projects ensuring that the highest standard of video output is achieved across all platforms and to be the central point of contact for all video projects.
4)Quote fees for each video project ensuring the fees are competitive whilst acting in the best interest of the Council
5)Responsible for the reliability, consistency and quality content produced and that it is in accordance with council branding and Communications strategy
6)Responsible for the selection of appropriate video formats, locations and settings according to the desired
7)Ensure that projects are delivered on time and to agreed budget
8)To operate effectively under pressure, to forward plan and to effectively prioritise taking into account short and medium term goals and service demands
9)Responsible for filming and editing video projects for distribution to internal and external clients as well as for use on social media, the external website and intranet
10)Continually explore and implement new editing techniques and best practice to maximise efficiency
11)Assist in developing projects and programmes including cross borough partnership working as required
12)Carry out full financial administration including quoting, invoicing and the updating of income/financial ledgers as required
13)To collate full statistical data on all video projects
