Full job descriptionA well-established manufacturing business is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join its established finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who can quickly integrate into the business, take ownership of key financial reporting activities and add value from day one.
Working closely with senior finance leaders and key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining robust financial controls, delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting ongoing business improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities*Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting disclosures.
*Support month-end, year-end and external audit activities.
*Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring robust financial controls are in place.
*Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities.
*Support corporation tax compliance, tax reporting and regulatory submissions.
*Liaise with external advisers and auditors as required.
*Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
*Document key finance procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
*Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to provide accounting support and insight.
About You*Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
*Proven experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting.
*Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial control experience.
*Knowledge of intercompany accounting and working within a multi-entity environment.
*Exposure to tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
*Experience of ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
*Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
*Able to hit the ground running and take ownership of responsibilities from the outset.
