We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented Level 2 Qualified Dispensing Services Assistants to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.

The Role
As a Dispensing Services Assistant, you will support the efficient processing and dispensing of prescriptions within a regulated distance-selling pharmacy environment, working closely with pharmacists and the wider team to ensure patients receive their medications accurately, safely, and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing
*Accurately dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
*Select, label, and prepare medicines for dispensing and dispatch
*Process prescription requests and patient orders using pharmacy systems
*Prepare and package medications for home delivery
*Manage stock control activities, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
*Maintain accurate dispensing and patient records
*Respond professionally to patient enquiries via telephone, email, and online platforms
*Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GPhC standards, and relevant legislation
*Help maintain a clean, organised, and compliant dispensary environment
*Support continuous improvement within the pharmacy team

What You’ll Bring

Essential:
*NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services (or equivalent recognised dispensing qualification)
*Previous experience in a pharmacy dispensing role
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Good communication and customer service skills
*Ability to work well as part of a team under daily volume pressure
*Competent IT skills and experience using dispensing systems

Desirable:
*Experience working in a Distance Selling Pharmacy
*Knowledge of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
*Experience using Pharmacy Management Record (PMR) systems
*Understanding of NHS pharmacy services and regulations
*Commitment to ongoing professional development
