A well-established, independent accountancy practice based in Stafford is looking to appoint an experienced Outsourcing Senior to join their small and friendly team.


This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit either a qualified accountant or an experienced QBE who enjoys working closely with clients and getting involved across a broad range of accounting work.


You will be responsible for a mixture of bookkeeping and accounts duties, supporting a portfolio of clients across their day-to-day accounting requirements.


What you will be doing as an Outsourcing Senior


*Preparation of year-end accounts for a range of clients
*Bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts
*Bank reconciliations and general ledger work
*Assisting clients with day-to-day accounting queries
*Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
*Supporting with general accounts and practice-related duties as required


What you will need to succeed as an Outsourcing Senior


*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
*Strong bookkeeping and accounts preparation experience
*Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts
*Excellent experience using Xero - this is essential
*AAT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification would be advantageous, although QBE candidates will also be considered
*Good communication skills and a client-focused approach
*The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
