Salary: £16.64 per hour, increasing with experience
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join an established business within the powered access and MEWP industry.
This is a hands-on role working on prototype and development machines, assembling mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components and helping bring new products from design through to working machines.
The Role*Assemble prototype and development machines.
*Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly.
*Work from engineering drawings and technical instructions.
*Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work.
*Identify and resolve build issues.
*Support engineers with new product development and design changes.
*Provide practical feedback to improve products.
*Assist with testing and development of new equipment.
*Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
About YouWe are looking for someone with:
*Previous experience in mechanical assembly, engineering or manufacturing.
*A relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship is preferred.
*Practical experience with mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems.
*Ability to read engineering drawings.
*Confident use of hand and power tools.
*Good practical problem-solving skills.
*Strong attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience within plant, powered access, agricultural machinery, heavy machinery, vehicles or similar engineering environments would be advantageous.
