People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, immediate starts, and genuine temp-to-permanent opportunities with a well-established logistics business.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, C+E Driver, Store Delivery Driver, Trunk Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, HGV Driver or Commercial Driver.
Shifts
• Monday to Sunday
• Start times between 03:00 - 06:00
• Weekend work available if required
Rates of Pay
• Monday to Friday - £19.00 per hour
• Saturday - £21.00 per hour
• Sunday - £23.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:
• Completing deliveries safely and efficiently across designated routes
• Operating Category C+E (Class 1) vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections and reporting any defects
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely before transportation
• Completing delivery paperwork and Digital Tachograph records accurately
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Assisting with loading and unloading where required
• Following all road transport legislation and company procedures
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
• A minimum of three months’ Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
• A good understanding of Driver Hours Regulations and road safety compliance
Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience
• Experience working within a fast-paced transport or logistics operation and operating a tail-lift
Training Provided
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
