Location: Manchester
An established consultancy is looking for an Engineering Geologist to join their growing team in Manchester. This is a great opportunity for an Engineering Geologist looking to develop their technical experience across a variety of ground investigation and geotechnical projects.
The RoleYou’ll be involved in both site and office-based work, supporting projects from initial ground investigation through to reporting and interpretation.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Planning and undertaking ground investigations
*Site supervision and logging of boreholes, trial pits and window samples
*Soil and rock logging in accordance with current standards
*Groundwater monitoring and sampling
*Reviewing geological and historical information
*Producing factual and interpretative ground investigation reports
*Supporting geotechnical assessments and foundation recommendations
*Working with laboratory and site investigation data
*Preparing drawings and geological sections using CAD/GIS
*Liaising with clients, contractors and other technical teams
About You*Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology or a related subject
*Previous experience within ground investigation or engineering geology
*Good understanding of UK geology and ground conditions
*Experience with site investigation, geological logging and reporting
*Familiarity with relevant British Standards and Eurocodes
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Full UK driving licence
