Location: Warrington | Housebuilding / Residential Development

A well-established and highly regarded residential developer is
seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its
commercial team in Warrington.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop
their career within a successful housebuilder, working alongside
experienced commercial professionals and gaining exposure to a
variety of high-quality residential developments.

The Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the
commercial team throughout the full lifecycle of residential
developments. Your responsibilities will include:

* Assisting with the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
* Supporting the preparation and management of budgets and cost
plans
* Assisting with subcontractor payments and valuations
* Helping to manage project costs and financial reporting
* Preparing and analysing tenders and quotations
* Assisting with variations, cost reporting and final accounts
* Working closely with construction, technical and purchasing
teams
* Developing your commercial knowledge with support from an
experienced team

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* Experience within quantity surveying or a commercial
environment, preferably in housebuilding, residential
construction or a main contractor setting
* A relevant degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in
Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good communication and organisational abilities
* A proactive attitude and genuine desire to progress within
quantity surveying
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team
