A leading freight forwarding specialist in Bradford is growing its air cargo team and seeking an Air Export Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled air freight professional ready to lead end-to-end international air exports and advance their career in global logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
*Air Export Management: Handle complete export lifecycles, from booking overseas air shipments and routing cargo to managing time-critical export files.
*Carrier & Agent Negotiations: Secure competitive spot rates with airlines, GSAs, and international forwarding partners to guarantee cargo capacity and drive profitability.
*Customs & Documentation: Produce key shipping documentation (MAWBs, HAWBs, Certificates of Origin) and process UK export customs filings in line with Known Cargo security standards.
*Account & Cargo Tracking: Act as the main point of contact for key client accounts, offering real-time flight tracking updates and proactive status reports.
*Financial Management: Manage file costing, audit incoming airline and carrier invoices, and handle client billing to maintain strong margins.
Requirements:
*2+ years of experience in UK air export freight forwarding.
*Strong operational knowledge of air export customs procedures, Incoterms, and aviation security protocols.
*Hands-on experience with industry software such as CargoWise, MultiFreight, or similar forwarding platforms.
*Demonstrated success meeting tight airport and airline submission deadlines.
