Position Details
*Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
*Location: Folkestone, Kent
*Contract Length: Initially 9 months
*Start Date: ASAP
*Pay Rate: £24.87 per hour (£54,000 annual equivalent)
*Hours: 42 hours per week
*Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
*Friday: 8:00am to 4:00pm
*30-minute lunch break
About the Role
Based at a busy manufacturing site, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production and plant equipment, helping to drive efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives and automation developments.
Working as part of a small engineering team, you’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensure plant equipment operates within specification, and support production by prioritising engineering tasks effectively while maintaining high Health & Safety and Quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
*Extensive experience working with processing and packaging machinery
*Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
*Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
*Experience troubleshooting and resolving PLC and robotic equipment issues
*Strong background in reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
*Knowledge of continuous improvement and SMED projects
*Understanding of COSHH regulations
*Lean Six Sigma knowledge or qualifications would be advantageous
