Fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing food manufacturer in a genuinely hands-on leadership role. You’ll have direct responsibility for the day-to-day performance of your shift, with a clear focus on production output, quality, food safety, labour efficiency and reports for continuous improvement.
This isn’t a desk-based management role — you’ll be on the factory floor, working closely with Team Leaders, Operators and Agency Staff to make sure the shift performs.
Daily responsibilities might range from:
*Managing daily production activities and ensuring production plans are delivered on time and in full
*Leading and supervising Production Team Leaders, Operators and temporary staff
*Running shift briefings and managing attendance, performance, training and onboarding
*Controlling labour allocation, waste, yield loss and material usage
*Ensuring BRCGS, HACCP and food safety requirements are consistently met
*Monitoring CCPs, production records and quality incidents
*Investigating issues and implementing corrective actions
*Monitoring OEE, downtime and production KPIs
*Implementing SOPs, standard work and continuous improvement initiatives
*Ensuring accurate SAP transactions and production records
*Conducting workplace inspections and supporting Health & Safety compliance
*Reporting shift performance and KPIs to senior management

For success with this application, you’ll need food manufacturing experience, previous experience supervising production teams and a good understanding of HACCP and food safety. SAP/ERP experience, experience managing high-volume production environments and strong leadership skills would be highly advantageous.
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum + performance incentive
