Full job descriptionCrowe Watson Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Bolton as they look to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to their growing team, offering flexible working, a strong company pension, and much more. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in planning and delivering audits, supervising junior staff, and building strong client relationships, all while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking team environment.
This well-established practice has built an excellent reputation across the region for delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients, spanning owner-managed businesses through to larger corporate groups. This role offers genuine scope for career progression, with clear pathways towards Audit Manager for the right candidate, and the firm places real emphasis on ongoing professional development, offering study support, mentoring, and exposure to a broad and varied client base.
What is the day-to-day of the role:
*Planning, executing, and finalising statutory audits across a range of sectors
*Supervising and reviewing the work of Audit Trainees and Semi Seniors
*Liaising directly with clients to build and maintain strong working relationships
*Identifying areas of risk and providing valuable business advice to clients
*Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts alongside audit work
Required Skills and Qualifications:
*ACA or ACCA qualified, or finalist level
*Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
*Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
*Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients at all levels
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple audit assignments
