Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established and growing professional services organisation as a Payroll Officer, where you will be responsible for managing payrolls on behalf of a varied portfolio of clients. You will play an important role in ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and efficiently, while providing a high level of service and support to clients.

Working within a professional and collaborative environment, this role would suit an experienced payroll professional who is confident managing multiple client payrolls, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys building strong working relationships. Key Responsibilities as a Payroll Officer:
*Process weekly, monthly and annual payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients
*Manage multiple client payrolls, ensuring all information is processed accurately and within required deadlines
*Process workplace pension auto-enrolment requirements
*Complete and submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
*Prepare and submit P11D information
*Complete BACS submissions and ensure payments are processed correctly
*Deal with payroll queries from clients and employees, resolving issues promptly and professionally
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date client payroll records and documentation
*Keep up to date with changes to payroll legislation and ensure these are correctly applied
*Liaise with clients to obtain and confirm payroll information
*Provide a high level of client service and develop strong working relationships
*Support with general payroll administration and additional client related duties as required

Experience Required as a Payroll Officer:
*Previous experience working within a payroll bureau, accountancy practice or similar multi client environment
*Strong practical experience processing payrolls for multiple clients
*Good understanding of payroll legislation, statutory requirements and workplace pensions
*Experience with HMRC submissions, including RTI
*Experience with P11D preparation and submission would be advantageous
*Good knowledge of payroll processes from start to finish
*Experience using payroll and accounting software would be advantageous
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple payrolls, deadlines and priorities
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident and professional approach when dealing with clients
*A proactive, client focused approach with the ability to work independently and use initiative
*Full UK driving licence
