Full job descriptionAssistant Procurement Partner (Logistics)
Salary: £32,073 - £39,043 per annum
Contract: 3-month temporary contract with a view to becoming permanent
Hours: Full-time
Location: Hybrid
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
*Supporting procurement and logistics operations to ensure the efficient supply of goods and services across the organisation
*Managing procurement activities including quotations, tenders, contract management, and supplier engagement
*Identifying and delivering cost-saving initiatives, product standardisation programmes, and process improvements
*Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency
*Analysing procurement and stock management data to provide recommendations that improve performance and value for money
*Supporting inventory management, stock reviews, and supply chain optimisation projects
*Ensuring procurement activities are undertaken in line with relevant public sector procurement regulations and organisational policies
The ideal candidate will have:
*Previous procurement experience within a public sector, NHS, or similarly regulated environment
*A CIPS qualification or be working towards one
*Strong contract management and supplier relationship management experience
*Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
*Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
*Experience of stock management, inventory control, or supply chain operations would be advantageous
