Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Transport Coordinator on behalf of our valued client. This Transport Coordinator opportunity is ideal for an individual who is confident, proactive, and able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. As the appointed Transport Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning, coordination and delivery of transport operations while supporting the wider logistics team.
About the Role
*Coordinating daily transport schedules and vehicle movements.
*Liaising with drivers, customers and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries.
*Monitoring delivery progress and resolving transport-related issues efficiently.
*Maintaining accurate transport records, compliance documentation and reporting systems.
*Supporting route planning to maximise efficiency and service levels.
*Acting as a key point of contact for internal departments and external stakeholders.
*Ensuring all transport activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation.
*Delivering excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
About You
*Previous experience within a Transport Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator or similar transport/planning role.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
*Experience using transport management systems, CRM platforms or databases.
*Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*Ability to problem-solve effectively and remain calm under pressure.
*A proactive, team-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
*Knowledge of transport compliance and logistics operations would be advantageous.
