Are you… a Food Technologist with experience in product development and a passion for product development?
Do you enjoy taking products from initial concept through to factory trial and commercial production?
If yes, then this opportunity is not to be missed!
Fantastic opportunity to join a growing food manufacturer, supporting the development of new products and continuous improvement of existing ranges.
You’ll work closely with Production, Technical, Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial teams, helping turn new product ideas into successful commercial products.
Daily responsibilities might range from:
*Developing new frozen food products
*Preparing laboratory and kitchen samples for internal and customer evaluation
*Optimising recipes for taste, texture, quality, shelf life and production efficiency
*Benchmarking competitor products and identifying market opportunities
*Supporting bespoke customer product development projects
*Planning and participating in factory trials
*Recording trial results and recommending improvements
*Working with Production to resolve processing issues
*Ensuring products can be successfully scaled from kitchen to factory production
*Preparing product specifications and manufacturing instructions
*Maintaining recipe databases and formulation records
*Evaluating new ingredients and liaising with suppliers on technical information
*Supporting sensory panels and shelf-life studies
*Working closely with QA on product quality issues
*And more!
This role would suit someone who enjoys combining technical food knowledge with creativity, problem-solving and project work.

For success with this application, you’ll need a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering or a related discipline, alongside 2–5 years’ experience in food manufacturing R&D or product development. Experience within frozen food, FMCG, NPD or factory trials would be highly desirable.
