A well-established and globally recognised scientific manufacturing organisation is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join its laboratory team in Oxfordshire. The business operates at the forefront of research, testing and product development, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build hands-on laboratory experience within a commercial environment.


Your new role
You will provide support to the laboratory and technical teams through the safe and efficient handling, preparation and testing of samples. Responsibilities will include blending samples, supporting analytical testing activities, maintaining laboratory stock and storage records, organising shipments, and ensuring the laboratory remains compliant with high safety and quality standards.
You will work closely with scientists, technicians and wider technical teams whilst contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the laboratory. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their laboratory experience within a commercial scientific environment.
What you’ll need to succeed
*Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
*Previous laboratory experience gained through industry, university placements or academic studies would be advantageous.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
*Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
*Experience handling samples, laboratory equipment or laboratory documentation would be beneficial.
*Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory environment.
