We are recruiting an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join the team at an award-winning luxury hotel with a 2 AA Rosette restaurant on the Essex/Suffolk border.
Working alongside a talented brigade, you’ll help deliver high-quality, seasonal food while maintaining excellent standards of preparation, presentation and service.
Key Responsibilities
*Run and maintain your own section
*Prepare and cook dishes to 2 AA Rosette standards
*Support the Head Chef and senior kitchen team
*Help lead the kitchen during busy services
*Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
*Support and develop junior chefs
*Assist with menu development and seasonal dishes
*Maintain food hygiene and kitchen standards
About You
*Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Junior Sous Chef
*Previous 2 AA Rosette or quality restaurant experience essential
*Passion for fine food and high-quality cooking
*Confident running your own section
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Able to work efficiently under pressure
*Keen to develop and progress your career
NVQ Professional Cookery preferred but not essential. Level 2 Food Hygiene required.
