Having already modernised their infrastructure and implemented a cloud-based Azure Data Lakehouse platform, they are now focused on improving data accessibility, governance, and analytical capability.

The Role
You will lead the data modelling and architecture strategy across a modern Azure Data Lakehouse environment, ensuring scalable and governed data solutions that support both current reporting and future analytical use cases.
Key responsibilities include:
*Designing and governing enterprise-wide data models across Medallion Architecture layers.
*Creating curated semantic and analytical data models using dimensional modelling and Kimball methodologies.
*Defining data modelling standards, governance frameworks, and data feed specifications.
*Collaborating with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
*Influencing wider business systems to embed data architecture principles across the organisation.
*Producing architecture documentation, diagrams, and data models while remaining hands-on in delivery.
*Acting as the technical authority for data architecture and data modelling best practice.
*Supporting the evolution from operational reporting to predictive and prescriptive analytics.


Your Skills & Experience
You will bring strong commercial experience in:
*Data Architecture and Data Modelling within large-scale enterprise environments.
*Dimensional modelling, star schemas, facts and dimensions, and Kimball methodologies.
*Designing and implementing Medallion Architecture frameworks.
*Building curated semantic layers within modern cloud data platforms.
*End-to-end data modelling from source systems through to analytics and reporting layers.
*Defining and implementing data governance, standards, and best practices.
*Azure Data Lakehouse and cloud-based data architecture environments.
*Stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable experience includes:
*Banking, Financial Services, Legal Services, Professional Services, or similar complex regulated environments.
*Supporting organisations in the transition toward customer-centric or client-centric data models.
