Full job descriptionReed Accountancy Oxford are proud to be exclusively partnering with a growing organisation in Central Oxfordshire who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with transactional finance experience looking to develop their career within a supportive and continuously growing business.
Day-to-day responsibilities
*Process purchase invoices, credit notes, expenses, and credit card statements
*Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger and supplier accounts
*Prepare supplier payment runs and process remittances
*Resolve accounts queries and support month-end activities
*Complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
*Post disbursements and ensure finance procedures are documented
*Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Required Skills and Qualifications
*2+ years’ experience in a finance, accounts, or transactional finance role
*Experience in accounts payable, receivable, billing, or credit control
*Exposure to reconciliations and month-end processes
*Strong Excel and finance systems knowledge (e.g. Sage, Xero)
*Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
*Strong organisational and communication skills
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
