About the Role / Job Summary:
This role is dedicated to supporting individuals in their journey toward recovery and empowerment. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality employment support aligned with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals to understand their strengths and employment goals while collaborating with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver high-quality employment support in line with the IPS model.
*Work with individuals to understand their strengths, experience, and employment goals.
*Support job searching, applications, interview preparation, and workplace transitions.
*Build trusted relationships with local employers and identify suitable paid opportunities.
*Collaborate with Recovery Coordinators and treatment colleagues to provide integrated support.
*Help individuals sustain employment by addressing challenges early and providing ongoing guidance.
*Maintain accurate records and contribute to IPS data, reporting, and service outcomes.
*Promote the service across Birmingham and strengthen relationships with local partners.
Experience Requirements:
*Experience in supporting individuals toward employment, training, or positive life changes.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*Confidence to engage proactively with employers and develop new opportunities.
*Ability to manage a varied caseload and balance different priorities.
*A person-centred approach and a genuine commitment to helping individuals secure meaningful paid work.
*Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated treatment service.
*Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
*Experience working within the charity sector or in roles focused on employment support.
*Familiarity with the IPS model is beneficial.
*Proven track record of building relationships with employers and stakeholders.
