Contract: Full-time, term-time

Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in a supportive secondary school?
We are currently working with a secondary school in Newham that is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs and wants to make a real difference to their education and development.
The Role*Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN
*Supporting students to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons
*Working closely with teachers and the school’s SEN team
*Supporting students with their social, emotional and academic development
*Helping students develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
*Adapting support to meet individual students’ needs
*Assisting with classroom activities and learning resources
*Maintaining positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers
The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
*Experience working within a school or educational setting is desirable
*Patient, calm and empathetic approach
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Able to build positive relationships with students
*Confident supporting students with a range of additional needs
*Resilient, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team
*A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
