Our client is a leading firm of Chartered Accountants based in Central London. They provide accountancy services to clients across a broad range of sectors, including Media, Property, Entertainment, Luxury Retail and Professional Services.
As a Senior Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will include:
*Communicating regularly with clients to obtain their accounting records
*General bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations, processing expenses
*Maintaining Sales and Purchase Ledgers
*Preparing VAT returns
*Invoicing on behalf of clients
*Managing client bank accounts and processing payments on their behalf
*Preparing management accounts
*Supervising junior bookkeepers and reviewing their work
The ideal candidate will have experience of working on both Xero and QuickBooks. Our client is able to offer the successful candidate a competitive salary, a marketing leading benefits package and study support towards the AAT / ACCA qualification. You will also be able to work from home for part of the week.
To be considered for this position, you must:
*Have experience of working on various software packages (Xero, Quickbooks, Sage)
*Have good academic record, with good attention to detail
*Hold accounting qualification - ideally AAT, candidates with extensive experience will also be considered
*A minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience at a UK accountancy firm
*Live within a commutable distance of Central London
