Full job description Senior Financial Accountant - 3 Month Contract

Start Date: ImmediateContract: 3 months

We are partnering with a large PE backed business to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Accountant on an immediate start, 3 month interim contract. This is a key role within the finance function, supporting a major piece of work around contract accounting, financial controls and process improvement with a strong focus on IFRS 15 and IFRS 16. You will take ownership of reviewing and cleansing existing accounting data, assessing current treatments and implementing improvements where required. The role will also involve working closely with senior stakeholders, developing technical accounting papers, identifying opportunities to automate processes and ensuring new policies and controls are effectively embedded across the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities
*Review and cleanse existing contract and accounting data
*Assess and remediate existing accounting treatments
*Prepare technical accounting papers and support complex accounting judgements
*Identify opportunities to automate reporting and accounting processes
*Embed new accounting policies, controls and processes
*Work closely with senior finance stakeholders and transition processes into BAU
About You *Fully qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CAANZ
*Strong experience applying IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
*Previous experience working within a PE backed business
*Strong financial and technical accounting experience
*Comfortable working with complex contracts and accounting treatments
*Experience preparing technical accounting papers
*Strong understanding of financial controls and process improvement
*Experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment
*Immediately available and able to commit to a 3 month contract
