Cleaner / Caretaker
Oxford OX1

£13.12 per hour PAYE

37 Hours per Week

Immediate Start in September

2-Month Temporary Contract (with potential extension)
A local authority in Oxford is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner/Caretaker to provide cleaning, caretaking and facilities support across its community buildings, including Oxford Town Hall.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out cleaning duties across offices, kitchens, toilets, stairwells and function rooms.
*Provide caretaking services, including waste disposal and building security.
*Lock and unlock buildings and operate alarm systems where required.
*Set up and clear rooms for meetings, functions and events.
*Support events through room and equipment setup and breakdown.
*Respond to FM Helpdesk requests and undertake minor maintenance repairs.
*Assist with the care and maintenance of pool cars and bicycles.
*Deliver excellent customer service to staff, visitors and building users.
Essential Requirements
*Previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, portering or facilities support.
*Experience using cleaning equipment and materials, with knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
*Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
*Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
*Willingness to undertake a variety of duties across different locations and departments.
*Ability to carry out manual handling duties, including climbing stairs and ladders.
Desirable
*Full UK driving licence.
*Experience carrying out minor maintenance repairs.
*Experience setting up audio-visual equipment and/or maintaining vehicles.
