We’re working with an established construction and property services contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Bid Writer to join their team in Romford.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in social housing, repairs & maintenance, refurbishment or construction who wants to play a key role in winning new contracts and framework opportunities.
The RoleYou’ll be responsible for producing high-quality, compelling tender submissions for housing associations, local authorities and other public-sector clients.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing bids from initial opportunity through to final submission
*Writing and coordinating PQQs, SQs, ITTs and framework submissions
*Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key requirements
*Producing high-quality technical and quality responses
*Developing method statements, case studies and project examples
*Working closely with operational, commercial and technical teams
*Gathering information from internal stakeholders and turning it into compelling bid content
*Developing strong win themes and client-focused responses
*Maintaining and developing the company’s bid library
*Ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant and delivered within deadlines
*Supporting continuous improvement and lessons learned across the bid function
About YouWe’re looking for someone who has:
*Previous experience as a Bid Writer, Bid Manager, Proposal Writer or similar
*Experience within social housing, property services, construction, repairs & maintenance or refurbishment
*Strong knowledge of public-sector tendering and procurement
*Excellent written English and attention to detail
*Experience producing persuasive tender responses
*The ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
*Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and PowerPoint
Experience with housing associations, local authorities, planned maintenance, refurbishment or public-sector frameworks would be highly advantageous.
