Job Description:
Full job descriptionOur client is looking for an experienced Export Coordinator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in international shipping, logistics or freight forwarding who enjoys working in a fast-paced, varied role.
You will be responsible for coordinating international shipments from start to finish, ensuring goods are moved efficiently, documentation is accurate, and all shipments comply with relevant customs, trade and company requirements.

Import / Export Coordinator Responsibilities:
*Arranging and monitoring international import and export shipments via air, sea, road and courier
*Liaising with freight forwarders, carriers and suppliers to arrange and track deliveries
*Managing and resolving transportation issues and documentation discrepancies
*Preparing and checking international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, bills of lading and export declarations
*Ensuring shipments comply with customs requirements, Incoterms, trade agreements and international regulations
*Keeping up to date with changes to import/export regulations, restrictions and tariffs
*Maintaining accurate shipment records and updating delivery timelines on internal systems
*Reconciling shipping documentation against purchase orders and inventory receipts
*Assisting with freight cost tracking, invoicing and financial reporting
*Providing customers with regular shipping updates and relevant documentation
*Booking stock onto Sage and ensuring records remain accurate
Import / Export Coordinator Skills and Experience:
*Previous experience within export, import/export, logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding
*A good understanding of international shipping procedures, Incoterms and customs requirements
*Strong attention to detail, particularly when dealing with documentation
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
*Experience using logistics, ERP or stock management systems
*The ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities effectively
