Academics Agency are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs within a welcoming primary school in Eastbourne.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour and engagement in learning.
The Role:*1:1 support for a pupil with SEMH needs
*Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
*Building a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil
*Encouraging engagement with learning
*Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
*Providing a calm, patient and nurturing approach
The Ideal Candidate:*Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or challenging behaviour
*Patient, resilient and confident
*Able to build strong relationships with children
*Consistent and calm when managing difficult situations
*Previous school, SEN, youth work or support work experience is desirable
