Hours: 22 hours per week, part-time
Pay: Up to £13.50 per hour
We are looking for an organised and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team in Leicester on a part-time, temporary contract until December.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the finance function and help ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities*Processing and accurately recording supplier invoices
*Preparing supplier payment runs
*Raising and issuing customer invoices
*Carrying out credit control and following up on outstanding payments
*Completing bank reconciliations
*Responding to supplier and customer account queries
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
*Undertaking ad hoc finance duties as required
About youThe successful candidate will:
*Have previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role
*Be numerate, accurate and attentive to detail
*Have good organisational and time-management skills
*Be confident communicating with suppliers, customers and colleagues
*Be comfortable using Microsoft Excel and accounting software
*Be able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
*Work well independently and as part of a team
*Handle confidential information professionally
This role would suit someone who can quickly become an effective member of the team and provide reliable finance support throughout the temporary contract.
