We are looking for a recent science graduate to join a Quality Control Laboratory in Surrey.

The company works with essential oils, natural products and other raw materials and finished products that require careful scientific testing and quality checks. This opportunity offers practical laboratory experience and an introduction to quality control, technical documentation and regulatory processes.

As a Graduate Quality Control Analyst, you will help test and assess materials and products to make sure they meet the required standards. Your day-to-day duties will include preparing and labelling samples, carrying out chemical and physical tests, analysing results and producing accurate reports. You will use laboratory techniques and analytical equipment, maintain testing records, prepare certificates and technical data sheets, organise samples and communicate results to colleagues in production, product development and purchasing. You will also support equipment checks, laboratory procedures and the company’s quality management system.

Skills and qualifications
*A recent degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Forensic Science, Food Science, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering or another laboratory-based scientific subject
*Practical laboratory experience gained through university modules, a final-year project, placement or employment
*An interest in analytical testing, quality control and products such as natural ingredients, fragrances, flavours, cosmetics, food ingredients, chemicals or related materials
*Good attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
*Confidence working with data and presenting findings clearly
*Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
*A willingness to learn new laboratory techniques, equipment and quality procedures
*A collaborative approach and clear communication skills
Ideally located for candidates based in Woking, Guildford, Staines-upon-Thames, Weybridge, Walton-on-Thames, Egham, Addlestone, Bracknell and surrounding areas.
