About the Role
The Supply Register is recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to work full time on behalf of Tyne Coast College. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with a range of learning needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
As an LSA, you will work alongside teaching staff to provide in-class and one-to-one support, ensuring students can fully engage with their learning programmes and develop their confidence, independence, and skills.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide learning support to students within classroom, workshop, and practical settings.
*Support learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), learning difficulties, or additional support requirements.
*Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
*Encourage student participation, independence, and achievement.
*Monitor student progress and provide feedback to tutors and support teams.
*Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times.
*Assist with personal care needs where required and appropriate.
*Support students with study skills, organisation, and classroom engagement.
Requirements
*Previous experience working with young people or adults in an educational, training, or support environment.
*Understanding of SEND and additional learning needs.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Patient, caring, and supportive approach.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
