To £80,000 basic, plus annual bonus and an exceptional benefits package
London office, hybrid working

An established client bank producing in excess of £300,000 in recurring revenue, handed over from a retiring Financial Planner.

The opportunity

We are working with the Private Wealth division of a multinational financial services organisation to recruit a Financial Planner into their London office.

This is a rare opportunity. Rather than building from scratch or inheriting a fragmented book, the successful candidate will take over an active, established client bank from a Financial Planner who is retiring from the business. That book currently produces over £300,000 in recurring revenue, and comes with access to new business opportunities alongside it.

For an adviser who has spent time servicing other people’s clients, or who has been asked to bring assets with them elsewhere, this is a genuine step forward — an immediate, income-producing client base within a chartered business with national reach.

About our client

Our client is a chartered firm with a national presence and an excellent reputation, forming part of a substantial international financial services group. Their UK Private Wealth division is well established and growing.

They provide holistic advice across retirement planning, investments, protection and tax planning to private clients throughout the UK, supported by a strong central proposition, dedicated paraplanning and administration teams, and an established London team of experienced Chartered Financial Planners.

The role

Based from the London office with hybrid working, you will:

*Take over and manage an established portfolio of private clients, providing advice tailored to their individual circumstances and objectives
*Manage the transition of the client bank from the retiring adviser, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining strong relationships throughout the handover
*Provide financial planning advice through comprehensive KYC and needs analysis, identifying solutions within the principles of best advice and suitability
*Work alongside the support team to produce advice reports to business and regulatory standards, and implement the solutions agreed with clients
*Manage workflow with the support teams so that all associated administration meets the firm’s record keeping and file quality requirements
*Deliver ongoing services to existing fee-paying clients in line with the service level they have been promised
*Maximise the revenue opportunity within the client bank, contributing to the wider growth of the division
*Deal with advice enquiries generated from within and outside the business, promote the firm’s services to external introducers, and work with colleagues across the wider group to identify new opportunities
*Maintain high standards of client care at every stage of the advisory process, complying with the FCA’s Statements of Principles and the firm’s documented performance standards and compliance plan
*Maintain competence through ongoing review of your own training needs, evidenced by a current Statement of Professional Standing

What you will need

*Chartered status with the CII, or clear and demonstrable progress towards it
*A current Statement of Professional Standing
*A minimum of three years’ relevant industry experience in an advisory capacity
*Comprehensive industry and technical knowledge across retirement, investment, protection and tax planning
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly — important given you will be inheriting existing client relationships
*The ability to work in a structured, efficient manner and to make effective use of support staff

Package and benefits

*Base salary to £80,000
*Annual discretionary bonus based on performance
*Pension with employer contributions of up to 12%
*Life assurance at six times pensionable salary, with the flexibility to increase cover
*Company-funded private medical cover, with the option to add partner and family cover
*Access to a virtual GP service
*Income protection at 60% of salary, with the option to increase to 75%
*Short-term disability cover of six months at full pay after one year of service
*An annual allowance towards health screening
*25 days’ holiday, with the option to buy or sell up to five days
*Hybrid working from the London office
