Full job descriptionWe’re looking for an experienced Chef to join the catering team at a private school in Oxford city centre (OX2). This is a fantastic opportunity offering daytime hours only, no weekend work, and a great hourly rate.

About the role:
As Chef, you’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for pupils and staff, maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards, and working as part of a small, organised kitchen team. This role suits someone looking for consistent daytime hours and a healthy work-life balance, away from the late nights and weekend shifts typical of restaurant kitchens.
What we’re looking for:
*Previous experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen (school, care home, or similar setting preferred but not essential)
*Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
*Enhanced DBS check required
*Right to work in the UK
*Reliable, organised, and comfortable working independently or as part of a small team
