A high-achieving Secondary School in Southend-On-Sea are looking for a Graduate Maths Tutor to join their successful Maths Department from September 2026.
The school are searching for somebody academically confident who can use their Maths knowledge to support pupils across KS3 and KS4, particularly those preparing for their GCSE examinations.
You will receive excellent exposure to the classroom while working alongside experienced teachers, making this an ideal position for anyone considering Maths teacher training in the future.
Graduate Maths Tutor - Your Responsibilities
*Working with KS3 and KS4 pupils
*Delivering 1:1 and small-group Maths interventions
*Supporting GCSE Maths preparation
*Running academic booster and revision sessions
*Helping pupils close gaps in their knowledge
*Providing additional challenge for higher-achieving pupils
*Supporting Maths Teachers within the classroom
*Monitoring pupil progress and identifying areas for improvement

PERSON SPECIFICATION
*Maths Degree or highly relevant numerical Degree
*Ideally a 1st Class or 2:1 Degree
*Strong A Levels and GCSEs
*Excellent subject knowledge
*Confident communicator
*Able to break down complex concepts
*Ambitious and academically driven
*Aspiring Maths Teacher ideal
