NRG are delighted to be partnering with a growing and successful SME business that is looking to recruit an ambitious and commercially minded Management Accountant to join its finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to further develop their accounting career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities*Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
*Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
*Oversight and control of the purchase ledger function
*Bank reconciliations and cashflow monitoring
*Inter-company reconciliations
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns and related HMRC documentation
*Assisting with annual audit preparation and responding to auditor queries
*Supporting the sales ledger and credit control processes as required
*Assisting with process improvements and finance-related projects
About YouThe successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with a desire to develop their career within a growing business.
You will ideally have:
*AAT qualification or be studying towards ACCA/CIMA
*Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or similar finance role
*Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
*Good knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
*The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
