NRG are delighted to be working with a vibrant and growing business services organisation that is seeking to recruit an ambitious and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive and forward-thinking business. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function while gaining exposure to wider business and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities*Processing and posting supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Creating, posting and following up on customer invoices and bills
*Recording, maintaining and filing financial transactions
*Updating Excel spreadsheets and internal accounting systems
*Completing daily and monthly banking activities
*Assisting with the preparation of monthly management information and Board reports
*Processing employee expenses and reconciling company credit cards
*Supporting finance-related projects and ad hoc tasks as required
*Contributing to process improvements and helping to streamline finance procedures across the business
About YouThe successful candidate will be organised, conscientious and eager to learn, with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
You will ideally have:
*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or accounts data entry role
*Exposure to accounting software such as Sage, Xero or similar systems
*Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
*The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively to deadlines
*Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
