Job Description:
Full job descriptionCMC Consulting are working with an established, complex organisation looking to strengthen their finance team with a commercially focused Senior Finance Analyst.
Working closely with the wider Programme and Finance teams, this role will play a key part in linking financial and operational performance, providing insightful analysis and supporting effective business decision-making. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across forecasting, programme reporting, risk and opportunity management, financial planning and commercial analysis, while partnering with stakeholders across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities :
*Partner with programme teams to support the delivery of key commercial and financial measures, including revenue, bookings, sales, profit and cash performance.
*Support the preparation and delivery of Quarterly Estimate at Completion reporting, ensuring forecasts are accurate, robust and clearly understood.
*Contribute to the development of Annual Operating Plan ) and longer-term five-year financial targets.
*Provide financial support and challenge throughout the Risk & Opportunity Management process, including identification, assessment, mitigation and ongoing review of financial risks and opportunities.
*Ensure core financial processes are delivered accurately and within agreed timescales, including forecasting, Earned Value Management and risk and opportunity reporting.
*Act as a key financial point of challenge within the business, promoting adherence to relevant financial policies, procedures and governance requirements.
*Work closely with the Finance Manager to produce meaningful commercial analysis supporting new business opportunities, investment decisions and pricing activity.
*Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes and reporting, sharing and implementing best practice where appropriate.
Skills & Experience :
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
*Previous experience within Project Accounting or a project-based finance environment.
*Strong business partnering capability, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
*Relevant commercial finance experience within a complex, project-driven or highly regulated contracting environment.
*Experience using SAP, Power BI and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
