driven, qualified accountant who takes ownership and works closely with the Head of Finance and the parent Group. Duties include:-
Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant Role:-
* Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
* Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes
* Prepare statutory accounts and support external audit requirements.
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
* Develop and enhance financial models to support business decision-making.
* Analyse financial performance, challenge underlying assumptions and identify areas for improvement.
* Support the implementation and continuous improvement of group reporting processes.
* Produce high-quality financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Requirements of the Financial Accountant Role:-
* CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified
* Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling
* Essential to have proven experience with the manufacturing sector or strong exposure to cost accounting
* Car owner driver
