This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of a broad finance function, improve reporting and controls, and provide meaningful commercial insight to senior leadership.

Michael Page Finance is delighted to be partnering with one of our key clients, a successful and growing privately owned group based in Leeds, to recruit an experienced Financial Controller.
Description
*Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple Group entities.
*Review P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
*Produce Board reporting packs with clear commentary and commercial analysis.
*Own weekly short and long-term cash flow forecasting.
*Review and improve the monthly Group consolidation process.
*Prepare year-end statutory accounts.
*Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
*Support Companies House compliance and statutory filings.
*Develop and improve the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
*Improve KPI reporting and provide greater commercial insight to senior management.
*Support business plans and funding proposals.
*Drive automation and continuous improvement across finance processes and controls.
*Oversee VAT, PAYE, CIS and payroll-related activities.
*Support pension administration and other finance operations as required.
Profile
*A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
*Previous Financial Controller or senior finance experience.
*Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
*Experience managing external audits.
*Excellent Excel and wider Microsoft Office skills.
*Strong commercial and analytical capability.
*Experience working across a multi-entity or complex organisation.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
*A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership.
*A track record of improving processes, controls and reporting.
