Full job descriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client’s reputable automotive business in Tavistock, Devon. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
*Perform vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOTs to high standards
*Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues accurately and efficiently
*Fit tyres, brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension, and other mechanical components
*Carry out fast fit tyre fitting, wheel alignments, and related adjustments
*Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
*Provide honest and clear advice to customers regarding vehicle conditions and service requirements
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of common issues across various makes and models
*Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
*NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in the automotive industry
*Proven experience in mechanical repairs, including tyre fitting, brakes, suspension, and exhausts
*Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment as the Vehicle Technician
*Full UK Driving Licence held for at least six months
*Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively within a team
*Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
